Yes, cats can be vegan!
After being vegan nearly a year and making all the changes, I thought it was time to see how the 3 cats and dog I live with would transition as well because it never hurts to try. My cat Tiger and the female ate a little of this right away 2 weeks ago (get the smallest size) and are now not wanting to eat the nasty, smelly Orijen way too much protein in it dead farmed animal food they usually got (not from me). Remember, it's all about smell to cats that determines if they eat what you offer them, and you must have patience if your cat(s) take longer to warm up to vegan foods. It took Cupcake the other boy who is diabetic a week to start eating this because he is the most picky eater out of all 3 and won't even eat certain meat based foods or treats. They only want to eat the Evolution now, and since I am almost out of the small trial bag I hope I get the 20 lb. bag I just ordered by the end of the week of this Evolution so they don't get go back to the other, nasty food. Did you know that cats need only 30% protein in their diet and lots of Vitamin A and fiber so they don't throw up so many hairballs. The 3 cats also like oat milk and canned pumpkin when mixed with the dry food or just the oat milk alone. The dog Angel is liking the Natural Balance vegan dog food I got for her, too bad they don't make vegan cat food but for now Evolution is the best, most nutritionally complete vegan cat food out there and this one is even grain free. However, Tiger likes wheat crackers and corn when offered to him so I may try Ami and/or Benevo in the future. V-dog needs to make V-cat though! I also ordered the Vegecat PHi and can't wait to try making the homemade vegan cat food recipes it comes with since poor diabetic Cupcake has lost half his teeth.
